I was going through depression. I felt I lost my life living in Tampa, after growing up in Miami. I felt lost in a new environment. I lost my ability to dance after a terrible accident. Confused on where to take my life career wise. I went into the medical thinking about the money but not about my happiness in my career. So, I dropped out of nursing school, quit my job with no hesitation and signed up for beauty school. Going to school and working to make ends meet, I had another addition to my life, my daughter Samiyah. Now working two jobs and trying to do my makeup business, while preparing for newborn was a complete 24-hour job and I had zero regrets!

Established 95 Makeup is more than just making people feel beautiful. I want to people to feel that life and seeing the beauty of it is possible.  I dealt with not feeling pretty for a long time. But I realized, I may not have the biggest hips or breasts, the tiniest waist, the clearest/lightest of skin or the smallest nose, but I need to define my own beauty and makeup is just a small part of it. Makeup is just a small enhancement to beauty that is already there.

I went through a lot the past 2 years I don't see anything as a lost but a gain to be successful. Doing what I needed to do, made me realize the decisions I made is making me more motivated. I see my daughter and she's given me the motivation to work at one million percent; to show her obstacles may come but if you're focused on your goal, those obstacles were challenges that you succeeded.
